MESROP MASHTOTS EXTENDED-DAY EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX IN YEREVAN
WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF “SCHOOL–FAMILY” COOPERATION, THE LESSON WAS CONDUCTED BY A PARENT.
As part of the same initiative, students of Class 8/1 of the M. Mashtots Educational Complex welcomed Dr. Yelena Aghajanyan, Head of the Department of Endocrinology at Yerevan State Medical University and Director of the Endocrinology Clinic at Muratsan University Hospital.
The topic of the session was “What Is Type 1 Diabetes and What Constitutes First Aid?” Students were introduced to the etiology of Type 1 diabetes, its primary symptoms, and the fundamental principles of disease management. Particular attention was devoted to appropriate first-aid measures in cases of sudden hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia, emphasizing the importance of timely and accurate response.
The lesson was conducted in an engaging atmosphere characterized by active discussion and intellectual involvement.
